The Patient Service Specialist (PSS) has the opportunity to create
a positive patient experience within ModMed's Revenue Cycle
Management service offering. As a Patient Services Specialist, your
role will be to support patients that are treated by our ModMed
BOOST service providers/doctors with their account needs. This
first-hand connection to our service providers' patients is a
critical aspect of ModMed's business and an exciting career path
for individuals passionate about healthcare and customer service!

Please note, this position is hybrid and will require working in
our office in Boca Raton, Florida three days a week.
The Role:
Serve as primary contact for all inbound and outbound patient calls
regarding patients balance inquiries, claims
processing, insurance updates and payment collections
Initiate outbound calls to patients of RCM clients in an effort to
understand and address any account/payment issues
such as demographic and insurance updates
Input and update patient account information and document calls
into PM
Special Projects: Other duties as required to support and enhance
our customer/patient facing activities
Skills & Requirements:
Associates degree (preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Minimum of 1-2 years of previous customer service experience
required
Healthcare billing experience highly preferred
Call center experience highly preferred
Basic understanding of medical billing claims submission process
and working with insurance carriers (e.g., Medicare,
private HMOs, PPOs) preferred
Proficient knowledge of business software applications such as
Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on
the ability to work effectively over the telephone
Ability and openness to learn new things
Ability to remain calm in a demanding call center environment
Professional demeanor required
Ability to effectively manage time and competing priorities
