Job Description:

The Title Curative Specialist position is a unique opportunity to practice title curative in jurisdictions throughout the United States and provides the employee with the ability to work both on the firm and servicer side of title matters. A position as a title curative specialist will have an employee reviewing title reports to discover defects, taking necessary curative actions, filing and managing title claims, and managing law firms throughout the county that are assisting in legal work necessary to cure title defects. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, have excellent service and communication skills, and exhibit a high attention to detail. Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Review and understand title reports
• Review and understand loan origination packages
• Be able to spot title defects
• Be able to file title claims and manage the claim process
• Manage attorney network and liaise between the attorney, title counsel and the loan servicer
• Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to ensure legal action exceeds clients' timelines and expectations
  • Experience in reviewing title reports, filing title claims and performing title curative functions.
  • Experience with foreclosure matters and/or default loan servicing
  • Experience with title closings and/or refinances
  • Energetic, organized, detail oriented and disciplined with the willingness to work hard
  • Creative in problem-solving and takes initiative when issues arise, with ability to use good judgment or obtain direction or clarification where needed
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written correspondence
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities

  • Excellent customer service Required Education and Training
    • Associate's Degree, Paralegal Certification or Title Certifications preferred
    • Relevant experience may compensate for higher education and certifications
