  What the Medical Collections Specialist will do?
  
  • 
    
  • Research denials through insurance portal or phone contact to determine nature of denial
    
  • Ability to collect proper documents needed for appeal
    
  • Call insurance companies to coordinate reconciliation of denials and provide supportive documentation
    
  • The ability to re-file claims by dropping claim to paper
    
  • Determining issue and consistently working to resolve each issue
    
  • Identify and report any pattern of reporting issue that can be addressed to reduce the number of rejected claims
    
    What the company needs in a Medical Collections Specialist:
    
    • 
      
    • 2+ years medical collections experience
      
    • Proficient in Excel
      
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
      
    • Excellent organizational skills with natural attention to details
      
    • Experience with Medicaid is a plus! +
