The companys brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyles and Sidul.OVERVIEW The Project Manager is to successfully lead the delivery of multiple new product launches in adherence to a stage-gate process across North America, from the most straightforward to the most complex. The role involves collaboration across North America and being able to successfully influence multiple cross-functional stakeholders across the enterprise. POSITION STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND KEY DELIVERABLES: Manage overall project actions, issues, risks, and dependencies and drive through resolution or mitigation Effective management of time-cost-quality constraints in order to maximize long-term CTO for the organization Creation and development of excellent cross-functional networks and excellent stakeholder communication DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages new products from idea/concept through to commercialization using a stage-gate process. Acts as the single point of ownership for assigned projects, owning the project business case from inception through product launch and post-commercialization monitoring (business case development and post-audit readiness). Actively maintains all project details in action registers that clearly demonstrate progress, issues and risks Builds and manages complex project plans/timelines in MS Project spanning extended time periods and interfacing with almost all business functions. Facilitates risk assessments and project evaluations to ensure continuous improvement to drive executional excellence. Collects, develops and refines product attributes and requirements with input from relevant stakeholders (e.g., customer/consumers, internal experts, executives, etc.) Estimate resources and participants needed to deliver and identify resource conflicts. Works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance and Sales teams to successfully deliver each new product launch into the market. Provides cohesion among cross-functional stakeholders by leading regular project team meetings, facilitating problem-solving and adding structure for resolution. Actively updates and maintains portfolio management database. Provides clear and concise communication to stakeholders across the organization. Collects develop and refine project scope and requirements with input from relevant stakeholders (e.g., customer/consumers, internal experts, executives, etc.). Acts as the gatekeeper for requirement changes throughout the stage-gate development process for given new product projects within the portfolio. Supports development by recommending creative, innovative approaches to break through barriers and challenge conventional thinking. Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve conflicts, and negotiate with others. ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES): Ability to manage and monitor projects to completion; demonstrated agility in and adaptability to changes in workload and priorities. Strong working knowledge of a stage-gate process and all that is required to effectively commercialize a product/project. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Strong working knowledge in and experience with project management concepts, tools and activities including PPM, SAP, MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Having the ability to manage and monitor a large number of projects to completion. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Ability to network effectively with stakeholders and build relationships across all levels of the organization. Ability to clearly communicate complexity in different ways to different audiences within the organization. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Heightened attention to detail; highly organized Deadline-oriented with a strong sense of urgency Strong and proven presentation skills The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and production methods. ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES: Minimum of 3 years experience in Project Management for the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Delivery management experience either within project management; working knowledge of the commercialization process Strong working knowledge of product and packaging development and familiarity with quality assurance procedures.
