Modernizing Medicine is delivering truly disruptive and transformative products and services that will impact the healthcare industry. The work we do makes a difference. Our web and mobile applications are transforming healthcare information technology to increase practice efficiency and improve patient outcomes. We offer end-to-end specialty-specific solutions from practice management, through EMR to Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) that maximize office interactions, patient visits, collections and reimbursements.

As the head of Implementation and Technical Services at Modernizing Medicine, the  Director of Implementation will serve as the strategic leader overseeing implementation services and the associated technical team to ensure scalable, rapid successful adoption and activation of services and SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will be an experienced transformational leader that has led revenue generating / billable professional services teams for implementation and technical services for SaaS software companies, who thrives in process improvement and operational efficiency and rapid growth. The role will require delivery excellence and evolving a rapid growing organization to be scalable and efficient; reducing lead times; lengths of implementations; maintaining/improving customer sat; while effectively managing a P&L.

The role will partner with the leadership team to improve processes, refine SOP’s, create playbooks, and will work closely with the Sales team to appropriately manage operating measures and new client expectations throughout the implementation process.

The Role:

Responsible for updating and maintaining Modernizing Medicine’s strategy of Adoption, Stabilization, and Optimization for implementing medical, financial, and patient engagement technology solutions and services

Coach and Develop the managers who lead the day-to-day activities of the implementation team by providing strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring

Cultivate talent; build strong morale; motivate and inspire the team to want to exceed expectations

Scale the organization to handle rapid growth

Strategically assess, plan, and execute on initiatives to constantly improve our processes, workflows, and capacity

Lead team members in developing re-usable consistent templates and project plans for new clients and ensure project deliverables, project budget and customer activation dates are met, while ensuring the scope of the implementation is appropriately managed against contracted services

Adopt/develop a change order process, along with standard risk mitigation and project budget reporting, working directly with the PMO to create and develop standards and report carding

Work with PS Ops to review, and create standard KPI’s, with regular read outs for senior leadership and performance stats for the implementation and technical services teams

Develop closed loop communication and planning for client feedback by developing action plans for critical client feedback, and taking necessary corrective action

Partner with other areas of the organization to ensure consistency in client experience remains a priority, validate deal desk assumptions on scope and level of effort required; and ensure Sales is educated and understands the implementation methodology and how to position our services as a differentiator in the market

Planning and managing department P&L including budget, forecasting, service activation, and capacity modeling against annual business plans and sales forecasts, to ensure scalability

Works with VP of Professional Services and Sr. Director of CS Operations in analyzing, forecasting, and planning of the annual department budget and operational KPIs.

Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred, Master's degree is a plus

15+ years of management experience with direct P&L responsibilities

15+ years of experience leading implementation and technical teams

Interpersonal Skills - remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to adopt and implement new concepts, able to collaborate with others to achieve personal and team objectives and goals

Strong oral and written communication skills

Problem Solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully

Hands-on Project and/or Process Management experience is required

Ability to influence others without direct authority, skillful negotiator with strong conflict management skills

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to rapidly learn new systems and processes

Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
