Job Description
Responsibilities & Tasks:
Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical
assemblies and sub-assemblies, using basic hand tools, and
electronic and pneumatic tooling
Uses basic gaging tools to verify mechanical measurements
Reads and understands assembly instructions in English, basic
blueprints, test schematics and procedures
Able to set-up for assembly to test and record test data
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the
department supervisor/lead
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly
condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum
supervision
Conducts quality inspection of own work and follow quality
standards
Monitors and continually improves customer satisfaction
Regularly sit or stand, bend and reach.
Works at different workstations as production needs require, or
shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process
Demonstrates punctuality and arrives to work on time
Works overtime as required
Follows all company procedures and directives
Monitors and continually improves the defect and error rate of
internal processes and systems
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor &
manager
Authorities:
Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Communicates RTL Quality Policy and Practices to all personnel
Completes "assigned tasks"
Scope:
Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of
lightweight materials. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and
reach. Work performed in a shop environment. Exposed to any number
of elements but with none present to the extent of being
disagreeable. May work at different workstations as production
needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the
assembly process. Assemble, inspect, test and clean hydraulic,
pneumatic and electrical products.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 years' experience as a mechanical assembler-tester or
electronic tester.
Candidate must be a team player, very flexible, and have the
ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
Must be willing to wear uniform shirts and pants
Must work overtime as needed (not optional)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable):
Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret
visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
