Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Adult EchocardiographyOne (1) year of experience working in an IAC accredited institution. In lieu of one year of experience, will accept credentialed new grads (within 1 year of graduation).Pediatric Echocardiography (Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital)One (1) year of experience imaging congenital heart defect and surgical repairs in an IAC accredited institution. In lieu of experience, will accept new grads (within 1 year of graduation). Must obtain credential within six (6) months of starting the position. Other Information: Education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program. Associates degree (or higher) in a related field is acceptable in lieu of the completion of an Ultrasound Imaging/Sonographer Program.An appropriate credential in Echocardiography: Adult EchocardiographyRegistered as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) (AE) from the American Registry for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI)Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)Pediatric Echocardiography (Joe DiMaggio)Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) from the American Registry for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Memorial Healthcare System is a community of caregivers dedicated to delivering quality patient- and family-centered care.
