and referrals. Job Summary: The CT Technologist is responsible for
performing high-quality CT scans and assisting with diagnostic
imaging procedures. This role involves ensuring patient safety,
preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining equipment. The
CT Technologist collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare
professionals to provide optimal patient care. Key
Responsibilities: Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by
physicians, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and
addressing any concerns. Operate and maintain CT equipment,
ensuring functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
Administer contrast media and monitor patients for any adverse
reactions. Assist in positioning patients correctly to obtain the
best images for diagnosis. Review images for quality and
completeness before submitting them to radiologists. Document all
procedures and patient interactions accurately in the medical
record. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to
infection control practices. Participate in quality assurance and
performance improvement initiatives. Stay current with advancements
in CT technology and continuing education requirements.
Requirements Qualifications: Associate's degree in Radiologic
Technology or a related field. Current ARRT (American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography; CT
certification preferred. State licensure as required. Experience in
a clinical setting, preferably in CT imaging. Strong communication
and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to
work in a fast-paced environment.
