Job Description Job Description The Licensed Clinical Director
is responsible for the clinical oversight, compliance, and
supervision of mental health and substance abuse treatment programs
at the Fort Lauderdale facility. This leadership role ensures
high-quality care, adherence to state and federal regulations, and
the successful execution of Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services. The Clinical
Director supervises therapists, case managers, and behavioral
health staff while implementing evidence-based treatment strategies
to support patient recovery. Key Responsibilities: Program
Leadership & Compliance: Oversee all clinical operations, policies,
and procedures to ensure adherence to state licensing, Joint
Commission, CARF, and other accrediting bodies . Monitor and
maintain compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality
regulations. Conduct internal audits to ensure proper clinical
documentation and best practices in patient care. Clinical
Supervision & Staff Management: Provide clinical supervision to
licensed and unlicensed therapists, case managers, and other
behavioral health professionals. Lead training initiatives and
professional development for the clinical team. Conduct performance
evaluations and oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new
clinical staff. Patient Care & Treatment Oversight: Ensure the
development and execution of individualized treatment plans based
on patients’ mental health and substance abuse needs. Oversee
crisis intervention, risk assessment, and patient de-escalation
procedures . Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical staff, and
external providers to ensure continuity of care. Regulatory &
Licensing Compliance: Ensure all clinical staff maintain active and
required licensing and certifications . Prepare for and oversee
audits, inspections, and accreditation renewals. Address and
resolve patient grievances while upholding ethical clinical
standards. Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Community Engagement:
Work closely with the Executive Director and Regional Operations
Manager to align clinical services with organizational objectives.
Develop partnerships with community agencies, referral sources, and
insurance providers . Represent the facility in community outreach
programs, professional conferences, and stakeholder meetings .
Qualifications: Licensure: Must hold an active and unrestricted
Florida clinical license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical
Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical
Psychologist Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social
Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in mental health
or substance abuse treatment. At least 2 years of leadership or
management experience in an IOP, PHP, or residential treatment
setting. Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification required.
Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) preferred or willingness to
obtain. Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and
clinical documentation. Extensive knowledge of state and federal
mental health regulations . Ability to effectively manage crisis
situations and ensure patient safety. Work Environment: Based out
of the Fort Lauderdale, FL location, overseeing all Florida-based
IOP & PHP programs. Some travel may be required for training,
audits, or multi-location meetings. On-call availability for urgent
clinical matters.
