Job Description Job Description RN-Weekend - Emergency Department Overview: This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) who will be working weekend shifts in an Emergency Department, focusing on patient care and collaborating with various departments while ensuring patient confidentiality. Candidates must possess the necessary nursing licensure, certifications such as BLS, and possibly ACLS or other emergency nursing credentials, along with the physical capability to perform nursing tasks. Maintains professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients. Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. Position Details: Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment and must comply with all state board of nursing regulations. Experience: Relevant experience preferred. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications may be required based on the specific unit, including but not limited to: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse) OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six Assessment & Care Modules) C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification) Other unit-specific certifications as necessary Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs. Prolonged standing and walking required during shifts. Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed for job duties. Why Join Us?
