The ideal Staff Psych Nurse (RN/LPN) candidate will have psych nursing experience in acute care, detox, and /or mental health facilities. You must possess strong assessment and organizational skills, be able to prioritize care and communicate with the healthcare team. You must be able to establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families, be a good listener, have good observation skills, and have nursing skills sufficient to provide the best care possible.


Qualifications and Requirements:


Holds a current unrestricted license as Licensed Practical Nurse OR Registered Nurse in the state of facility and maintains current licensure per state requirements.

A minimum of 1 years' experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting preferred; preferably in an inpatient, partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting and/or meets educational requirements.

Must have a Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.

Valid and Current CPR

Physical and TB within 12 months

AHCA eligible

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform varied physical assistance to include bed care & transfers


Job Duties:


Provides routine psych nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Director/ Director of Nursing

Thoroughly documents in patient chart, specifically Nursing Assessments and Nursing Notes, in a detailed and timely manner in accordance with facilities standards.

Takes verbal orders from the Medical Director, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.

Administers medications.

Work under as directed by Clinical Director / Director of Nursing.

Maintains effective communication between outside medical services and the facility.
