The Surgical Tech provides safe and effective patient care, through the performance of specific duties as the Surgical Technician Specialist in the Operating Room during surgical and other invasive procedures under the direction of a registered nurse. The Surgical Tech performs routine scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. The Surgical Tech assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current and operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the ongoing Performance improvement
Program. The Surgical Tech required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays. The Surgical Tech assists with annual performance evaluations and competencies.
