Essential Functions and Primary Duties

* Work closely with Client Team to support client retention and new business production
* Understand client or prospect needs and submit coverage specifications and obtain quotes from potential carriers
* Serve as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices, and other underwriting policies
* Work on risk solutions that are complex
* Responsible for negotiations and transaction management with carriers/markets
* Identify needs for new products and suggest innovative solutions to Client Team
* Review all analysis prior to presentation to Client Team
* Additional responsibilities as assigned
* Complexity is based on the degree of uncertainty, financial risk, technical requirements, urgency, and volume or size.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree

Minimum Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED required
* At least 5 years of insurance carrier placement experience
* Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
* Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
* Advanced customer service skills
* Proficient use of applicable technology
* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
* Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
