Position Summary:


The Regional Finance Director (RFD) is responsible for providing planning, strategic and operational analysis support to senior management with a focus on driving business growth and driving operational efficiency. The RFD leads the development and maintenance of the methodologies used for organizational reporting to ensure the overall effectiveness, ease of use and integrity of data. This position is responsible for the oversight of non-standard management reports, operational analysis, statistical studies, and developing recommended courses of action for all operational areas of the assigned Business Unit (BU). This position is responsible for analyzing and developing current and future financial systems and reporting tools, processes and formats for management. Further, the Director will be responsible for developing and managing the BU's budget process, rolling forecasts and short-term and long-range plans.
The RFD will be a collaborative partner and resource for business leaders and will work closely with the senior leadership team, working regularly with the Field Operations Finance Vice President and the Regional Vice President on customer economics, operating inputs, and the financial planning process. This role requires a leader who is highly effective in coaching business partners for success.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Strategic Planning



  • Supports Regional Vice President of BU in developing multi-year business and profitable growth strategies for his/her regions to deliver increased market share by developing financial performance goals.
  • Collaborates and partners with BU leaders in their quest to maximize revenues and operating cash flows and building long term shareholder value, by providing financial counsel and advice.
  • Provides guidance to BU in the formulation and management of budgets to ensure the effective execution of the business strategy. Works with BU managers to develop long and short-term action plans and measure their results.


    Operations Management



    • Translates data into high-value, actionable insights for senior leadership and business partners, developing and refining new analyses in response to business needs, and bringing expertise on emerging trends.
    • Validates and improves existing metrics and creates new resources for data-driven insights (both internal and external). Provides leadership on metric definitions and analytic methodologies to assess key business value drivers.
    • Manages and performs analyses and research in all financial areas such as revenue, expense
    • performance, and cash flow.
    • Reviews BU actual expenses versus budget and forecast. Issues monthly variance statements.
    • Develops, prepares, and analyzes financial reports based on actual, forecast, and budget data.
    • Prepares detail of work plan and schedule, completes detailed analysis and research, identifies options, prepares reports for management, and recommends actions or changes.
    • Understands ADT's current business measures and is able to research the usage of additional measures.
    • Maintains accuracy of Monthly Reporting packages and BU financials including design of new reports and report distribution. Researches and implements better uses of available financial data.
    • Actively advocates and ensures the successful implementation of corporate sponsored programs and activities
    • Oversees the completion of projects including planning; assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results, etc.


      Leadership



      • Cultivates and inspires employee engagement and positive employee relations environment through robust and regular employee communications, role modeling a culture of performance feedback, ensuring a reward and recognition culture; creates a culture of accountability.
      • Provides advocacy for all team members while collaborating directly with BU and functional areas to execute on the overall Business Plan.
      • Employs a diverse and compelling communications framework to align employees and generate passion, understanding and commitment to achieving the business plan.


        Education / Work Experience Required:


        • Bachelors Degree in either Finance/Accounting or equivalent. MBA preferred.
        • 10+ years of directly related finance experience required.
        • Extensive leadership and project management experience with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
        • Extensive experience with developing and executing on business strategies and risks.
        • Thorough knowledge and understanding of financial and business management principles with the ability to communicate and prioritize business requirements.
        • Strong executive presence and presentation skills.
        • Commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment; constantly striving to exceed expectations.
        • Proactive and solution oriented approach toward business issues.
        • Proficiency with Microsoft products (e.g. Excel (modeling), Access, Word, PowerPoint).

        • Experience with Hyperion products (Essbase/Enterprise).
