Plans, coordinates, and manages all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of both internal and client facing information systems and software applications. Responsible for the schedule, effort and work product of the development team and acts as the primary liaison between the business stakeholder and the technical execution functions. Responsibilities- Establishes team objectives, in support of achieving department, division and company directives.- Develops work plans and ensures team deliverables meet requirements.- Determines and implements methods and means to best meet company objectives within department.- Leads development and maintains Product Development Roadmap.- Leads requirements analysis process with development team clients.- Creates customer facing Statements of Work from collected requirements and input of development staff.- Manages customization and enhancement requests.- Effectively manages project scope creep.- Ability to "translate" business and non-technical communication to programming staff.- Effectively interacts with upper management, other departments, and stakeholders.- Effectively manages and mentors development resources.- Utilizes methodologies appropriate to task to manage team efforts and projects (agile, waterfall, etc.).- Ensures that support issues are addressed.- Maintains product release schedule in cooperation with senior management.- Defines process and procedures governing development Sales Support.- Assists with the development of sales scripts for presentation by pre-sales specialists.- Reviews /updates marketing collateral to reflect the development of Canon software. Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 7 years of related experience and management of typically two or more regular full-time employees (one of whom must be exempt). - Degree in Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Systems preferred.- Strong/demonstrated background in computer software development or software implementation in a similar role or technical Project Manager.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.- Must be a self-starter/self-motivated.- Sound project management, analytical, organizational and presentation skills.- Experience with Microsoft Visual C# and Visual Basic.- Experience with IIS /Web projects.- May require some travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary). - MCSD, MCPD, or MCAD; CDIA+ (nice to have, not required) Company OverviewAbout our Company - Canon Solutions America, Inc. empowers companies of all sizes to succeed by supplying market leading enterprise, production, and large format printing solutions, supported by exceptional professional service offerings.
