The Director of Medical Staff Services provides leadership, management, and operational oversight of the medical staff organization's support services to include credentialing, privileging, quality improvement activities, and licensing. This leader is responsible for assisting the division in setting and achieving the division's goals. Leading through our core values, this leader will impact the development and growth of our people through the art of accountability, coaching and inspiring to ensure success of all. This person will be a cultural fit, strategic, proactive and always have a sense of urgency. Your role:

  • Responsible for directing all aspects of provider credentialing to include planning, tracking and executing on all goals and deadlines while maintaining quality
  • Monitor and maintain compliance of company credentialing policies and standards, as well as, federal and state requirements
  • Responsible for researching and investigating non-routine, complex provider credentialing issues, licensing issues, government regulations, healthcare standards, and other quality related issues
  • Interact on a regular, collegial basis with other CHG offices and management teams. Participates in the incident/malpractice claims reporting, investigation and management process with CHG QM /Risk Management
  • Create, implement, and measure an operating strategy for the MSS team that is designed to assist in achieving departmental, divisional and corporate goals
  • Assist with development and implementation of standardized processes that support excellence in the delivery of customer service and sales growth strategies
  • Participate in the development, execution and measurement of budgeting and business planning for MSS
  • Identify team opportunities and demonstrate the ability to positively impact results in team engagement, quality and retention
  • Responsible for the division's Quality Assurance Program, which promotes healthcare quality improvement and patient safety
  • Conduct regularly scheduled one-on-one/side by side interactions and developmental meetings with direct and indirect reports, designed to enhance awareness, support, expand knowledge and increase accountability
  • Facilitate meetings with support teams focused on alignment, organization, team morale and performance
  • Participate in management meetings and provide feedback and suggestions to solve team, department, and divisional issues
  • Manage a dynamic group of managers and supervisors including, but not limited to hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, evaluating, and termination of individuals
  • Work with sales leaders to research, clarify, and resolve client and provider concerns and inquiries
  • Contributes to a positive culture that fosters continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director and VP to prioritize and plan work objectives for the sales support organization
  • Support the organization by bringing continuous improvement through LEAN initiatives ; influencing successful adoption and maintenance
  • Work with all CHG business partner groups to align in common areas of focus and to help create standardization across divisions

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and how it relates to healthcare staffing
  • Formal presentation experience to multiple groups/stakeholders
  • Ability to persuade, influence and educate others in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to motivate and support team members to achieve desired results
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organization and prioritization abilities
  • Solution orientated mindset to effectively bring problem resolution to issues/concerns
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and delegate initiatives to other leaders for growth and development
  • Successfully proven track record in leading department(s) through process and technology changes
  • A minimum of five (5) years' work experience in an administrative leadership position supporting professional level functions in a fast paced, team environment
  • Minimum of three years' successfully leading a multi -level leadership team containing manager level and supervisor level leaders
  • Undergraduate level business education training or equivalent experience Preferred Skills:
    • CPCS or CPCSM certification preferred but not required
