Overview Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, the Sr. Director, Operations Support will oversee the creation of the Operations Support function within the Supply Chain Organization. This role will be instrumental in supporting the overall improvement of Supply Chain operational functions and assist in aligning the organization to proven industry standards. Responsibilities include managing several areas that impact Supply Chain with the goal of continuing to drive end-to-end optimization versus functional optimization. Leads a team of associates with cross-functional responsibilities including Systems Sustainment, Vendor Management, Vendor Compliance, New Business Coordination, Training across Supply Chain as well as support standard tools and SOPs and policies development. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversees the improved coordination of Systems Sustainment of AOPS, WMS, RDF, OTM and AIP (future). Using Supply Chain process knowledge, the team will determine how processes work in conjunction with systems funtionality and troubleshoot breakdowns in processes and systems. Actively develops SMEs for process development.
  • Oversees the Supply Chain Training functions. Continued Training development of curriculum to determine best methods for facilitation to produce improvements in productivity, scope of job knowledge and operational standards. In addition, guides training team in assessment needs by site and/or function, and provide specific recommendations to expand training to include Supply Planning & Forecasting (Inventory Management) and Transportation organization. Training Support includes the development and scheduling of Supply Chain executional training and the training of new techniques and systems.
  • Responsibility for current Vendor Management and Compliance team. Develop processes for elimination of redundant tasks in vendor engagement. Enhances vendor experience by bringing one voice to the vendor community to reduce miscommunications and errors across Supply Chain functions. Oversees the positions responsible for the global strategy development, implementation and ongoing operations of vendor compliance stategies, policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the cross functional teams within the Supply Chain Organization to align our supply chain initiatives and processes with the overall business strategy. Support standard tools, updating current SOPs, developing new SOPs and policies that can be used by all functional groups. This includes continued development and implementation of standard procedures for Supply Chain that will align practices across all facilities and functions within the Supply Chain Organization. These standards will also address common practices within other channels, i.e. Stores, call centers, sales, etc. Also oversees team's responsibility for defining the Standard Procedure Development, which includes, identifying the tasks, examine the process, streamline if necessary, and create the documents. Once the documents are approved, implement the procedures.
  • Oversees the New Business Coordination. Will develop new business coordination with the end result of reducing re-work when engaging new business ventures.
  • Actively coach, develop and provide performance feedback/actions to managers, associates and support staff. Drives talent development strategies including Succession Planning, Talent Gap Analysis, and career development processes.
  • As this position requires knowledge of several Supply Chain systems, standards and processes, this position for example will look for P&L risk and develop strategies to avoid risk and/or develop contingency plans. Will also support an initative of moving Supply Chain to 24/7 systems coverage. Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Retail Management and Merchandising
    • 10+ years of relevenat experience/training
    • This role requires an individual with experience with a least 2 of the following functional areas: Inventory Management, Transportation, Four-Walls Operation. Also requires vendor negotiations and an understanding of complex warehouse and inventory management systems to evaluate procedures, processes and training requirements
    • Working knowledge of OPS, WMS, RDF, OTM and AIP, MS Office
    • Superior communication, verbal, written presentation skills. Successfully manages and navigates across organizational boundaries. Successful in managing diverse skill sets. Ability to take a business issue/opportunity and develop appropriate, creative approaches.
