Desktop EngineerAs a Desktop Engineer, you will provide technical
leadership in the design and implementation of desktop solutions
and related technologies.The position requires the ability to be a
strategic thinker and execute successfully.The right candidate is
someone that can help us modernize our workstation management
capabilities by implementing zero-touch deployments and better
workstation compliance reporting.Roles and Responsibilities:Design,
build and maintain the workstation infrastructure for the
enterprisePackaging and deploying of commercial and internal
software to workstations across the enterpriseUsing industry
standard tools (SCCM, MEMCM, Intune, Patch My PC, Qualys, Avanti,
Chef Automate, Absolute, Workspace One, Etc.) to patch and update
workstations to eliminate vulnerabilities across the
enterpriseMaintain compliance of workstation fleet by using
Industry standard tools, (SCCM, MEMCM, Intune, Patch My PC, Qualys,
Avanti, Chef Automate, Absolute, Workspace One, Etc.)Monthly
patching of entire workstation fleet for OS (Windows MacOS) and 3rd
party appsMaintaining and updating Group Policy Objects to ensure
consistent standards across the workstation fleetCreate and
maintain standard desktop configurations (Windows and MacOS) and
helping to roll out zero-touch provisioningImplement, administer,
and maintain Microsoft SCCM MEMCM, and associated systemsAssist in
Architecting and driving the long-term strategy for desktop
hardware and softwareUse scripting (such as PowerShell) to allow
the management of large numbers of systems quickly and
effectivelyKeep ahead of emerging trends, understand business area
opportunities and challenges, process or system impacts to all
related business or systems areas when implementing recommended
solutions to achieve business objectives.Provide mentorship to
other members of the team, and other teams across the
organizationPerforms other duties as assigned Compensation: The pay
range for this role is $80,800-$110,000 anually and is based on

ProgramQualifications5+ years of experience developing zero touch
OS migration solutions using industry standard tools (Autopilot,
Intune, Workspace One, Chef Automate, etc.)5+ years of experience
building MSI installations to address first time installs and
upgrades from scratchExperience with deployment methodologies such
as SCCM, Adaptiva, Workspace One, Chef Automate, Etc.In depth
knowledge of login scripts, scheduled tasks, group policies,
etc.Advanced experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11Experience
with imaging and deploying Windows 10/11 using OSD and Autopilot
Intune, or other zero-touch technologiesAdvanced knowledge of the
Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user
security, and operating system troubleshootingIn depth knowledge of
Group Policy and how GPO's applyKnowledge of Citrix and VDI
technologiesKnowledge of WinPe, PXE, WAIK, MDOP, ADMT and other
tools from MicrosoftUnderstanding of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS,
etc.Strong practical Windows systems administration skillsExcellent
communications and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of MacOS and how
to integrate into a dominantly Windows environment
Education:B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training or
experience Experience:10+ years' experience managing workstation
fleet in a large organization (20K+ workstations)Microsoft
Certifications (Desktop OS, SCCM, MEMCM, Intune, etc) Core
Competencies:Desktop ArchitectureDrive for ResultsEthics &
ValuesTechnical LearningExcellent oral and written communication
skills are requiredUnderstanding of network protocols/services and
network infrastructureAbility to self-educate on technical
subjects, such as programming languages, software packages and
service processesGood time management skillsStrong customer service
skills including follow through and follow upStrong technical
troubleshooting and analytical skillsKnowledge of desktop and
