About the internship

At the Boca Raton Champions Golf Charities (BRCGC), the host organization of the TimberTech Championship, we are passionate about growing the game of golf and celebrating the City of Boca Raton. The TimberTech Championship, a PGA TOUR Champions tournament eligible to professional golfers age 50 and over, is the semifinal playoff event in the season-long Charles Schwab Cup competition held November 1 - 7, 2021 at the Old Course at Broken Sound.

Position Summary:

This internship will focus on increasing the tournament's visibility in the community and distributing content that reaches and engages our fans, drives revenue, and creates long-term strategic value. This candidate will identify and pursue new opportunities to develop and distribute TimberTech Championship and PGA TOUR Champions content across local, regional, and global markets.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate efforts of Digital Media and Sales groups to schedule content and maintain social media marketing campaigns, and calendars that will live directly on TimberTech Championship Social Channels and handles across Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Newsletters, as well as TimberTech Championship digital products, including Timbertechchampionship.com
Monitor social media posts/comments/replies on a regular basis to understand consumer feedback
Compile regular metrics reports, including social media, website, and video metrics
Develop a strong understanding of PGA TOUR Champions and TimberTech Championship fans and leverage consumer insights to develop go-to-market strategies to grow fan engagement
Assist the creation of fan facing material such as spectator guide, pairing sheets, and tickets
Help maintain photo database
Guide the look, feel, and voice of the brand across all fan touchpoints on and off course to efficiently communicating brand messaging

Qualifications:
Strong understanding of social and digital media landscape and differences across platforms
Ability to optimize content for each platform and understanding of analytics that help inform decision-making
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with team members
Organizational skills required to multitask, develop timelines, and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and clear writing presentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience in Adobe Photoshop, Premier, and Illustrator is a plus
1.5+ years of coursework in Branding, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field

Internships are available to college students who are eligible to receive academic credit
Applicants should reside near Boca Raton or be willing to commute
