• Financial growthJob DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Permanent to join our team in the Real Estate industry. This role will be instrumental in managing all financial aspects of our business, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT), Real Estate Partnership, and must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Controller, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:1. Overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.4. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.5. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.6. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.7. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.8. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.9. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.10. Liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes.11. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.4. Proven experience in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) and Real Estate Partnership.5. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).6. Experience with creating financial statements and tax returns.7. Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes including budgeting, financial closure, and reporting.8. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.9.
