Job Description Brilliant is currently representing a dynamic organization in the South Florida Area seeking a Senior Sales & Margin Accountant Consultant. The Senior will be fully remote, for a year assignment and is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, and analysis within the accounting department. This role will support the month end close process, review of account reconciliations, the allocation development and execution and responsible for accurately preparing financial closing transactions, related supporting schedules, and account reconciliations, as well as performing account analysis. Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is to prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, journal entries, account reconciliations etc. Analyze sales and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately monthly and in accordance with US GAAP. Sales and revenue recognition (ex: sales return reserves) Assist with analyzing financial statements monthly and report on variances Perform reconciliations and detailed account analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure they accurately reflect the company---s financial position and results in accordance with company policy and in accordance with US GAAP Assist with financial and tax audits Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements Assist in the monthly Consolidation process Prepare, develop and/or analyze various financial reports for use by management, including the ability to analyze and interpret trends and effectively communicate to management Assist with preparing audit schedules and confirmations during year-end close Preparing supporting schedules for quarterly and year-end financial statements Assist with other ad hoc projects as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor---s degree in accounting/Finance or equivalent experience required CPA and/or MBA a plus but not required Minimum of 4-6 years of previous experience in related field with Big 4, large organization or management consulting firm experience preferred. Diverse accounting experience including a practical understanding of financial statements, accounting principles with a good understanding of US GAAP, month end close and audit cycle, account reconciliations and SOX compliance. Highly meticulous and organized in work Ability to meet assigned deadlines, fast-paced environment Excellent communication and people skills Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives Above average computer skills and information systems proficiency. Excellent Excel skills include Pivot tables, VLOOKUP---s, formulas, and functions. Working knowledge of Oracle EBS and/or Cloud, Cognos, Hyperion Ability to establish and strengthen relationships across organizational boundaries.
